How to Change the Sound Settings on Ubuntu 13.04

Anytime you are listening to music or watching a video on your Ubuntu operating system you may find that you need to turn the volume up or down to fit your listening needs. Ubuntu 13.04 makes it very easy to change the volume settings on your computer and this tutorial will show you just how to do that.

In the top right corner you will see a speaker icon that you can click on to adjust the sound volume. From this little drop down menu you will also see “Sound Settings” that you can click to get more fine tuned advanced settings.

You can also open the Dash and search for “Sound” which will take you to the more fine tuned advanced settings so that you can control the volume of individual programs and each speaker along with the line in settings.
